20 May 2006: Carolina goalkeeper Cam Ward (30) hopes he has the puck underneath him, but Buffalo's Jason Pominville (29) knows that the shot of teammate Henrik Tallinder (not pictured) got past Ward. The goal gave Buffalo a 1-0 lead at 2:56 of the first period. The Buffalo Sabres defeated the Carolina Hurricanes 3-2 at the RBC Center in Raleigh, North Carolina in game one of the Eastern Conference Final in the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs.
