16 October 2004: Nicole Barnhart, wearing Joy Fawcett's uniform, made her international debut playing the last five minutes of the game as a forward. Barnhart, a backup goalkeeper, was forced into the game after an injury to Angela Hucles left the U.S. with no other available players. The United States defeated Mexico 1-0 at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, MO in an women's international friendly soccer game as part of the U.S.'s "Fan Celebration Tour.".
