The puck went in the net on the play, but the goal was disallowed and Gomez received a minor penalty for goaltender interference. The Carolina Hurricanes defeated the New Jersey Devils 3-2 in overtime at the RBC Center in Raleigh, North Carolina in game two of the second round of the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs.
